Small Group FAQs

What is a Small Group and why are they important to Community of Hope?

Small Groups are made up of people who meet together in homes, apartments, or coffee shops to build close relationships with one another, to laugh a LOT, and to learn about Christian living. It gives people a chance to get to know others and build relationships in a small group setting. It’s difficult to do this in the setting of 450 people during a Celebration Gathering. It is also difficult for ministry staff to effectively meet all of the needs of the entire church. It is vital that churches enlist and equip members to do this work. Members’ helping one another is Christ’s plan for the church.

Who can be a part of a Small Group?

Anybody and everybody. You’ll find folks from all walks of life. Small Groups are not made up of “know it alls” or “perfect” people. You’ll find people just like you - with hurts, struggles, and joys - wanting to make friends as they explore.

What happens in a meeting?

Friendships are formed - Relevant life topics are explored in light of scripture - People pray for each other - Help and support are offered to one another.
